This tiny sit down Mexican restaurant doesn't offer chips and salsa but they do offer the best Mexican food in Grand Junction.

The homemade corn tortilla tacos are incredible. Chicken, steak, carnitas, they are all great!

The smothered pork green chili burrito is crazy good. It's a lot of food but I can never stop eating it. It goes great with sour cream and the verde salsa.

Most Mexican restaurants make awful to average tamales. The tamales here are as good as any I've ever had. You definitely have to put some sour cream on your tamales and then cover them with the verde salsa.

Speaking of the verde salsa. It's the best I've ever had. It's amazing!!

This place also has the best refried beans I've ever had. Great food.

This place has a few more menu items including Menudo on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays and they are a must stop if you are in GJ.

The tacos were very good. I had a grilled chicken, a carnitas and a carne asada with cilantro, onion and lime. The carnitas was my favorite-- very authentic. The guacamole on the other hand was a total disappointment. It's just watery pico de gallo with a few (very few) chunks of avocado. Newsflash: guacamole should be *mostly* avocado, especially for $4.50 for a small side. If I hadn't taken my order to go, I would've asked that they add avocado to it or take it off my bill. Despite the tasty tacos, I'm left feeling a bit ripped off.

When I'm craving real tacos, I head here.  The carnitas tacos are so good that I've never actually tried anything else.  They load the tacos with meat, and the onions and cilantro are very fresh.  They provide plenty of lime, and the green Chile sauce that goes on the tacos is bright, spicy, and delicious.  Service is great and very fast.  I'm only dropping it to four stars instead of five because, the last time I was there, the carnitas was a bit dry, as if it was yesterday's rewarmed.  I prefer carnitas to be a little moister, and usually it is here.

Great little place. The smothered tamales are excellent. Lots of meat choices for street tacos at $2 each. Definitely going back and would recommend.

This is easily the best Mexican food in Grand Junction!! The portions aren't huge, but the prices are great. I wish I would've discovered this place sooner!!
